October 21, 2019 – Father Bryan is celebrating the Akathist to the Theotokos, the Inexhaustible Cup monthly. The next Akathist service will be Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at 7 p.m. The following is scheduled for Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 7 p.m.

This Akathist to the Theotokos, the Inexhaustible Cup is an appeal to the Mother of God for help and healing for those addicted to alcohol or drugs. It is to be sung either by or for those who are thus addicted. The icon of the Theotokos, the Inexhaustible Cup, Healer of Alcoholics was discovered in a monastery in Russia in the late 19th century. Many miraculous healings through the grace of this holy icon have occurred in Russia and many places where this prayerful service is celebrated. A copy of this icon is reverently placed on the Tetrapod and the service is celebrated before it at our parish. Everyone is welcome to come pray with us and receive blessings for the healing of any addictions for themselves or others who can’t attend. Afterwards come to St. Mary’s Hall for refreshments and fellowship.
